IN OUR COUNTRY

It is our firm belief that our Lord calls us to make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:18-20). In light of this, First Baptist Church financially supports six domestic missionaries. We strongly believe in supporting missions at home and across the world. Each of our missionaries have a heart to serve others and point people to Jesus. We would encourage you to pray for them and their efforts.

DOMESTIC MISSIONARIES

Tim & Joan Carmical

The Carmicals are serving with Ethnos360 as Midwest representatives. Before returning to the states, they spent several years serving as missionaries in Papua New Guinea. They are educating, encouraging and informing churches to work with the unreached tribal groups around the world. Tim spends a lot of time speaking at meetings getting the message across to churches, youth groups, schools, colleges and clubs.

They pray that God sees fit to use their ministry to challenge the next generation of church planters.

Ruth Davies

Ruth Davies has a heart for young people no matter what their situation in life is. She has been serving people in prison who are searching for answers in God’s word. She also encourages chaplains, and family members who are dealing with the struggles of a loved one in prison.

She has been instrumental in helping people who are incarcerated find help and hope. She also provides resources for them. By writing and praying for people looking for hope, she is reminding them that each one is important to God and can have access to a new life in Him.

Larry & Kay Marlatt

Larry and Kay have been serving God’s people since 1968. They help train inner–city believers in evangelism, discipleship and leadership. They have a heart to reach those who are searching for God.

They also come alongside pastors to support their ministries. They teach classes on the life of Christ and enjoy training believers. They have also started a Christian liberal arts university America Pathways University. Larry and Kay plan to focus their vision on the good news of the Gospel for those among whom they live and point them to Christ.
