VBS IN DOWNERS GROVE

Get ready for an exciting week of Vacation Bible School in Downers Grove, June 15-19, 2026, as we celebrate “Rock of Ages” and take a journey through time!

 

Kids will travel from 1851 - the year First Baptist Downers Grove began - all the way to present day, discovering how God has been faithful through every generation.

 

Each day will be packed with fun and meaningful experiences including hands-on crafts, interactive Bible stories, energetic games, delicious snacks, singing, and a special Water Day.

 

Along the way, kids will learn that Jesus is our Rock - yesterday, today, and forever. We hope to see you for a week of fun as we learn about Jesus and grow in faith!

Who can attend?

Vacation Bible School is for children entering Pre-K - 5th Grade in the Fall of 2026.

When & where?

June 15-19 | 9 AM-Noon

*Pre-Registration Ends May 31

 

Pre-Registration helps us plan for class sizes, materials, and snacks. If you do not pre-register, you can register at the door any day of VBS, starting at 8:45 AM.

What can my kids expect?

Each day will be packed with hands-on crafts, interactive Bible stories, energetic games, delicious snacks, singing, and a special Water Day.

VBS Sunday

Join us Sunday, June 21, at 10:30 AM, for VBS Sunday & Father's Day!

 

All VBS kids are invited to sing on stage during our Worship Service. After their song, they will go to Children's Church for a special VBS lesson and activity time.

Vacation Bible School is jam-packed with Bible lessons, games, crafts, singing, and more, and we need your help to make it all happen!

 

We welcome adults AND teens to serve. All of our Grove Kids volunteers (18+) must pass a background check and be DCFS-certified before serving, as we prioritize a safe and loving environment for everyone.
